Dr. Rachel McKernan, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C has been an influential member of the OSDPA through her work as Vice President and Chairperson of both the Elections Committee and CME Committee. Rachel spends much of her free time on marketing materials, newsletters, and conference duties in order to keep OSDPA a successful functioning organization.

When asked why she would be a good fit for this role, she said, " I bring both the necessary expertise to steer this organization toward continued growth and the heartfelt dedication to give it my all."

Beyond her organizational roles, Rachel has been a valued pharmacology speaker for the OSDPA and an educational preceptor for students across various academic levels. Her commitment to education and dermatology has been recognized with the SDPA's NewDermPA of the Year 2025 award.

Dr. Cassandra McKernan, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C has been a key member of the OSDPA through her previous board position as Secretary and through her Chairperson role on the CME Committee.

Secretary:
Gia DiLoreto, MPAS, PA-C embodied the role of Director at Large for the last two years and was Chairperson for the Communications Committee. Her work on social media, marketing, and content creation helped the OSDPA achieve their goal of 100 members by 2026

When asked why she would be a good fit for this role, she said, "I believe I would be a strong fit for the position of Secretary for OSDPA because of my proven commitment to the organization and the leadership experience I've gained over the past two years as Director-at-Large. In that role, I've developed a deep understanding of our mission, the needs of our members, and the importance of strong communication and organizational structure in advancing our goals. As Director-at-Large, I've consistently demonstrated attention to detail, follow-through, and a collaborative approach — all essential qualities for the Secretary position. I’m confident in my ability to maintain accurate records, support meeting logistics, and ensure clear and timely communication between board members and the broader membership. I’m passionate about continuing to support the physician assistant profession in Ohio and believe that stepping into the Secretary role is a natural progression in my service to OSDPA. I’m ready to take on the added responsibility and continue helping the organization grow and thrive."
Shirley Yee, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C was welcomed on as Treasurer in 2025 and has been integral in our compliance with our tax status, conference income, and membership dues. She continues to support the OSDPA through multiple roles including as member of the CME committee and as one of the Regional Directors of Cleveland.

When asked why she would be a good fit for this role, she said, "I believe I am a strong fit for the Treasurer role because of my proven experience, dedication, and leadership within OSDPA. I currently serve as Treasurer and have developed a strong understanding of the organization’s financial responsibilities and processes. In addition, I have been actively involved with OSDPA for several years, serving on the CME Conference Committee for two consecutive years and contributing as a Communications Committee Member. Beyond OSDPA, I bring extensive leadership experience from various student organizations. These experiences have prepared me to be responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented—qualities essential for managing OSDPA’s financial status and supporting the organization’s continued growth."

Director At Large:
Kelly Hartnett, MPAS, PA-C, has been an active and engaged member of the OSDPA CME committee for the past two years. Her involvement extends to key decisions regarding conference speakers, exhibit hall preparations, and the broader business of the OSDPA.

When asked why she would be a good fit for this role, she said, "I am a creative, dedicated, and self-motivated PA with a strong passion for advancing dermatology and supporting our professional community. As Director-at-Large, I would focus on increasing engagement and connection between our members and OSDPA through meaningful social media initiatives, engaging email communication, and active networking across the state. My experience running a highly successful social media business during the pandemic, along with five years of service on the Johns Hopkins APP Council’s Education Committee, has given me valuable insight into effective communication, collaboration, and educational outreach. I’m eager to bring that energy and experience to the OSDPA board to help strengthen our community and promote continued growth within our profession. After contributing to the OSDPA Conference Committee for two years, I truly value the sense of community that OSDPA provides and would be honored to give back by helping build connection, offering educational opportunities, and providing support among my peers. I’m passionate about dermatology and eager to help our society continue to grow and thrive."
